Ingredients
  

  • 1 kg Crabs cleaned with shells on, Njandu
  • 6 nos Garlic cloves minced
  • 1" piece Ginger minced
  • 2 nos Green chillies slit
  • 1/2 tsp Tamarind pulp or paste Puli
  • 1 no Tomato chopped
  • 2 nos Shallots finely chopped, Kunjulli
  • 1 sprig Curry leaves
  • 1 no Dry red chilly Kollamulaku
  • 1 tsp Garam masala powder
  • 1/2 tsp Turmeric powder
  • 1/2 tsp Chilly powder
  • Salt As reqd
  • 1 tbsp Veg oil
  • 300 ml Water
  • Coriander leaves for garnishing A small bunch, chopped

Instructions
 

  • For preparing Easy Crab Masala , first heat oil in a pan.
  • Add curry leaves and red chilly and cook for 30 seconds.
  • Add ginger and garlic and cook for 2 minutes.
  • Add the chopped onions and cook, until soft and transparent.
  • Add green chillies, garam masala, turmeric and salt, stir and cover.
  • If you are using the tamarind pulp, make a paste with some warm water and add this to the pan as well and cook for 2 minutes.
  • Add the chopped tomatoes, the uncooked crab and mix well.
  • Add water and cook on low heat for 30 minutes, until the crab is cooked.
  • Garnish with chopped coriander leaves.
  • :- Crab Masala is ready.
  • :- Serve Crab Masala hot with rice.
