Tuna Puttu

Tuna puttu with coconut and green chillies

Ingredients
  

  • Tuna (canned)(choose preserved in sunflower or olive oil)
  • Onions same quantity as tuna
  • Garlic use two cloves per onion
  • 1/4 tsp Turmeric powder
  • 1/2 tsp Cumin powder Jeerakam
  • 2 chillies Green chillies reduce if you desire less spicy
  • 2 tbsp Dessicated cocunut
  • 2 - Oil
  • Salt As reqd
  • 1 tbsp Cumin seeds Jeerakam
  • Coriander leaves for garnishing(finely chopped)

Instructions
 

  • Drain oil from cans and separate out the tuna on a plate.
  • Heat 2 - 3 tbsp of oil in a pan.
  • Add cumin seeds and allow them to splutter.
  • Add finely chopped onions, garlic chopped or crushed and finely cut green chillies.
  • Add tuna, once the onions get transcluent. Fry for 3-4 minutes.
  • Add turmeric powder and cumin powder.
  • Add dessicated coconut followed by chopped coriander.
  • :- Serve with rice.
