Tamil Nadu Coconut Burfi

Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup Coconut powder
  • 1 cup Sugar
  • 1 cup Water
  • 10 nos Cashewnuts
  • 1 tsp Ghee

Instructions
 

  • Boil sugar and water in a vessel while keeping the gas on a medium flame.
  • Stir sugar and water, till it becomes a thick syrup.
  • :- If you put a little bit of that syrup in a glass of water, it should stay thinkly in the top. This is the current stage of syrup.
  • Add coconut powder and stir well for few more mins.
  • Add ghee and cashewnuts and mix well.
  • Pour it onto a greased plate.
  • Allow it to cool.
  • :- Greasing the plate with oil or ghee helps to cut and remove the pieces easily.
  • Cut them into diamond shaped pieces or any other shape of your choice.
