North Indian Easy Kadai Chicken

Ingredients
  

  • 1 kg Chicken
  • 1 no Onion big
  • 10 nos Cashewnuts
  • 1 tsp Poppy seeds powdered, Kashakasha
  • Ghee A little
  • 4 tsp Garlic paste
  • 2 tsp Coriander powder
  • 2 tsp Chilly powder
  • 6 nos Tomato
  • 1/4 cup Ginger
  • 4 nos Green chillies
  • 1/4 cup Coriander leaves
  • Salt As reqd
  • 1 1/2 tsp Garam masala
  • 1 tsp Kasoori methi Uluva ela
  • Coriander leaves for garnishing

Instructions
 

  • Boil onions in a vessel.
  • Make a paste of the boiled onions, cashewnuts and poppy seeds.
  • Heat ghee in a pan.
  • Add garlic paste and saute for a min or so.
  • Add coriander powder and chilly powder and saute till the poke goes.
  • Add chopped tomatoes and saute.
  • Add ginger, green chillies and coriander leaves. Saute for at least 5 minutes.
  • Add the chicken pieces and mix well.
  • Add salt as reqd.
  • Cook chicken on low flame.
  • Once chicken is cooked, add garam masala, kasoori methi and the boiled onion paste and mix well.
  • Garnish with chopped coriander leaves.
