Fried Chicken

Spicy chicken fried with gram flour

Ingredients
  

  • 1 kg Chicken
  • 250 ml Milk
  • 350 ml Water
  • 3 nos Cloves Grambu
  • 3/4 " Ginger grated
  • 1/2 tsp Cumin powder Jeerakam
  • 1" piece Cinnamon Karugapatta
  • Nutmeg A pinch, Jathikka
  • 1/4 tsp Red chilly powder
  • 3-4 tbsp Yoghurt/Curd
  • 3-4 tbsp Gram flour Kadala podi
  • 2 tsp Salt
  • Oil for frying

Instructions
 

  • Clean and cut the chicken into pieces.
  • Mix together milk, chicken pieces, ginger, cloves, cinnamon and cumin powder.
  • Boil until the chicken is tender and the liquid is absorbed.
  • Sprinkle red chilly powder, nutmeg and 1 1/2 teaspoon salt.
  • Make a batter with yoghurt and gram flour. Beat well, adding one or two tbsp of water and remaining salt. Set aside for about an hour.
  • Coat cooked chicken with batter and fry until golden brown.
  • Drain on paper.
  • :- Serve hot.
