Ingredients
  

  • 2 cups Gram flour Kadala podi
  • 2 cups Rice flour Ari podi
  • 150 gm Dalda
  • ½ tsp Cooking soda
  • tbsp Pepper
  • tbsp Cumin seeds Jeerakam
  • Salt As reqd
  • Oil for frying

Instructions
 

  • Take a wide mouthed vessel and add dalda and cooking soda.
  • Mix them together along with gram flour, rice flour, salt, powdered peppercorns and cumin seeds.
  • Add enough water to get a thick, paste-like consistency.
  • Heat oil in a kadai or a pan.
  • :- To test if the oil is hot enough, drop a pinch of the dough into it. If it sinks, the oil isn`t hot enough. If the dough springs to the top with bubbles all around it, then the oil is ready.
  • Take the kara boondhi plate and pass the dough through it into the hot oil.
  • Fry them till they become golden brown.
  • :- Store in an air tight container.
