Take a wide mouthed vessel and add dalda and cooking soda.
Mix them together along with gram flour, rice flour, salt, powdered peppercorns and cumin seeds.
Add enough water to get a thick, paste-like consistency.
Heat oil in a kadai or a pan.
:- To test if the oil is hot enough, drop a pinch of the dough into it. If it sinks, the oil isn`t hot enough. If the dough springs to the top with bubbles all around it, then the oil is ready.
Take the kara boondhi plate and pass the dough through it into the hot oil.
Fry them till they become golden brown.
:- Store in an air tight container.
