Ingredients
- Gram flour(Kadala podi) - 2 cups
- Rice flour(Ari podi) - 2 cups
- Dalda - 150 gm
- Cooking Soda - ½ tsp
- Pepper - 1½ tbsp
- Cumin seeds(Jeerakam) - 1½ tbsp
- Salt(As reqd) -
- Oil for frying -

Instructions
- Take a wide mouthed vessel and add dalda and cooking soda.
- Mix them together along with gram flour, rice flour, salt, powdered peppercorns and cumin seeds.
- Add enough water to get a thick, paste-like consistency.
- Heat oil in a kadai or a pan.
- Take the kara boondhi plate and pass the dough through it into the hot oil.
- Fry them till they become golden brown.
- :- Store in an air tight container.
