Clean the chicken and cut into small pieces.
Make a paste of ginger, garlic, red chillies, onions, little oil, turmeric and salt.
Add remaining oil, cloves, cinnamon and cardamoms to this paste and marinate the chicken for about 1 hour.
Add 1/2 cup of water to the chicken and cook until all the water disappears.
Stir occasionally. Add water if necessary.
Cook the chicken until oil floats on the top.
Garnish with lime and onion pieces.
