For preparing Green Chicken, first clean the chicken and cut them into pieces.
Heat oil or butter in a large deep non-stick pan.
Add onions and saute` them until onions are soft and translucent.
Add cinnamon stick, chopped ginger, green chillies, coriander powder, cumin powder and garam masala powder. Fry them in low flame. Keep them aside.
Make a paste of coriander leaves and red chilly powder in a blender using water.
Add this paste to the onions-spices mixture and fry for a couple of minutes.
Add chopped tomatoes & salt to the mixture and cook on high heat for 3-4 minutes (till tomatoes are kind of mushy).
Add chicken pieces and a glass of water and bring to boil (takes about a minute or two).
When it starts to boil, lower the flame and allow it to cook for about 40 minutes. Stir occasionally. When the gravy is thick, remove Green Chicken curry from fire.
:- Serve Green Chicken hot with parathas or plain rice.
