Ingredients
  

  • 2 cups Semolina Rava/Sooji
  • 3-4 tbsp Oil/Butter
  • Mustard seeds A pinch
  • 2 tsp Red gram Thuvaraparippu
  • 1 no Onion chopped
  • 2-3 nos Green chillies chopped
  • Cashewnuts A few
  • Groundnuts A few, Nelakadala
  • Raisins A few, Onakka munthiri
  • 3 cups Water
  • Salt As reqd
  • Chopped coriander leaves for flavour

Instructions
 

  • Preheat frying pan (kadai/cheena chutty).
  • Fry rava for 5 minutes and keep it aside.
  • Heat oil or butter in it, add mustard seeds and allow them to splutter.
  • Add red gram, onions, green chillies, cashewnuts, groundnuts and raisins and fry them well.
  • Add salt.
  • Pour water and allow it to boil.
  • Add coriander leaves.
  • Add rava slowly while stirring continuously.
  • Cook for another 4 - 5 minutes.
  • :- Serve hot.
