Instructions
Heat the rava till it becomes light brown and keep it aside.
Heat the ghee and fry the mustard seeds.
Add curry leaves, chopped onions, slit chillies, crushed ginger and coriander leaves to it and fry for 2 minutes.
Add 2 and a half cups of water and the reqd salt and leave it to boil.
Add rava to the boiling water little by little, stirring the water properly.
Cook until it is soft and thick.
:- Upma is ready.
:- Serve upma hot with coconut chutney.
