Chop onion, garlic and ginger into small pieces.
Chop the remaining vegetables into cube size and boil them.
Heat oil on a pan.
Add mustard seeds.
When they pop, add Bengal gram and black gram.
When they turn golden brown, add onion, ginger and garlic.
When the onion turns golden brown, add the semolina.
Fry until you get the aroma of shredded wheat.
Add salt, hot water and cooked vegetables.
Stir Vegetable Upma continuously for 5 minutes and cover with lid and turn off the stove.
Let Vegetable Upma cool on the remaining heat.
