Caramel Bread Pudding | Bread Pudding

Ingredients
  

  • 2 Cups Milk
  • 1/2 Cup Sugar
  • 1 Tsp Vanilla essence
  • 2 Slices Bread
  • 2 Nos. Eggs
  • 1 Pinch Salt

For caramelized sugar:

  • 1/4 Cup Sugar
  • 2 Tbsp Water

Instructions
 

  • Boil milk in a pan by adding sugar and vanilla essence. Remove it from the flame.
  • Then add crushed bread, Keep aside until cooled.
  • Beat egg by adding a pinch of salt.
  • Pour it into the bread milk mixture and blend it until smooth.
  • Now we have to caramelize the sugar. For that take a pan, add sugar and water. Keep it on a medium flame. Do not use low or high flame. If you use low flame crystals will form. If you use high flame it will burn.
  • When the colour turns into golden brown, immediately transfer into the bowl. Otherwise, it will burn and you will get a bitter taste.
  • Strain the bread mixture for a smooth texture into the caramel coated plate.
  • Cover it with a foil paper or steel plate. Steam cook for 30 minutes.
  • Let it cool and keep it in the refrigerator for 1 to 2 hours.
