Boil milk in a pan by adding sugar and vanilla essence. Remove it from the flame.
Then add crushed bread, Keep aside until cooled.
Beat egg by adding a pinch of salt.
Pour it into the bread milk mixture and blend it until smooth.
Now we have to caramelize the sugar. For that take a pan, add sugar and water. Keep it on a medium flame. Do not use low or high flame. If you use low flame crystals will form. If you use high flame it will burn.
When the colour turns into golden brown, immediately transfer into the bowl. Otherwise, it will burn and you will get a bitter taste.
Strain the bread mixture for a smooth texture into the caramel coated plate.
Cover it with a foil paper or steel plate. Steam cook for 30 minutes.
Let it cool and keep it in the refrigerator for 1 to 2 hours.
