Caramel Thari Kachiyathu | Semolina Drink | Thari Kanji

Ingredients
  

  • 1/4 Cup Semolina
  • 1/4 Cup Sugar for caramelizing
  • 1/2 Cup Sugar
  • 10 Nos. Cashew nuts
  • 10 Nos. Raisins
  • 1 Tbsp Ghee
  • 2 Cups Milk
  • 1 Pinch Salt
  • 2 Cups Water
  • 4 Nos. Cardamom Powdered

Instructions
 

  • Take a thick bottomed pan and add ¼ cup sugar for caramelizing. Keep the flame low to medium.
  • When the sugar is caramelized and the color turns into golden brown, pour water carefully. Stir slowly and melt the caramelized sugar in water .
  • Now pour milk into it and keep the flame low.
  • Meanwhile, heat ghee in a pan and roast cashews and raisins.
  • Then add rava(semolina) and roast for 5-8 minutes in low to medium flame.
  • When the rava is roasted very well, remove from the flame.
  • When the previously prepared milk mixture starts to boil, add roasted rava mix into it.
  • Add cardamom and salt.
  • Add remaining 1/2 cup sugar.
  • Mix well and bring it to a boil. Once it comes to a boil, switch off the flame and set it aside. Let it cool.
  • Serve Caramel Thari Kachiyathu.
