Chicken Sausage Masala

Chicken Sausage Masala is a Kerala style spicy side dish. This yummy sausage masala with the blend of Indian spices. This Chicken Sausage masala is a simple and quick recipe to do as for lunch and dinner. In our busy life, quick dishes can be easily made by storing the frozen sausages. It is soft when we transfer to cold water and cut into thin slice. We do not need to add water to cook this recipe because sausage leaves more water. We add onions for this masala and a few spices, ginger and green chillis. So, it turns into a good moisturize to the entire recipe. We cook this masala until it coated on sausage. It is an easy to make side dish prepared with readily available ingredients. We prepare variety of dishes with prawn sausages, chicken sausages and this Chicken Sausage Masala is the basic, yet simple dish with full of Indian flavors. Ingredients
  

  • 10 Nos Sausage (a pack)
  • 2 Medium Onion Chopped
  • 1 Big Tomato Chopped
  • 1 + 1 Tsp Ginger Garlic Paste
  • 2 Nos green chilli Chopped
  • 1 Tsp Chilli powder
  • 1 Tsp Coriander powder
  • 1/2 Tsp Turmeric powder
  • 1/2 Tsp Cumin seed powder
  • 1 Tsp Pepper powder
  • 1/2 Tsp Garam masala powder
  • Curry leaves A sprig
  • Coconut oil Deep fry & cooking
  • Salt To taste

Instructions
 

  • Cut sausage into slices.
  • Heat oil , when oil is heated add sausages and deep fry till its get brown in color. Fry it on medium heat for about 3 minutes ...Then drain on a paper towel to get rid of excessive oil and keep it aside.
  • Heat oil in a pan add onion ,sauté till it turns brown.
  • Add ginger garlic paste, green chilies. Sauté until their raw smell is gone.
  • Add the chopped tomato and stir till the tomato are mashed well.
  • Once the ingredients are properly cooked , add the chilli powder, turmeric powder and coriander powder. Stir for a few minutes till the oil separates from the masala.
  • Add the fried sausage pieces and stir well to coat the sausage with the spices .
  • Add 1/2 cup hot water and mix well to form a gravy. Check the salt and if more needed.
  • Cover the lid and cook for 5 minutes on medium flame.
  • Once sausage are cooked completely , add the pepper powder and garam masala.Mix gently and cook for few seconds..
  • Serve hot with chappathis...
