Ragi Upma

Ingredients
  

  • 1/2 cup Ragi Flour
  • 1/2 cup Rice flour
  • 1/2 cup Yogurt
  • 2 tbsp Oil
  • 1 Onion
  • 2 Red chillies
  • 1 tsp Mustard Seeds
  • 1 tsp Channa Dal
  • Salt As needed
  • 1/2 tsp Turmeric powder

Instructions
 

  • In a bowl, add ragi flour, rice flour, salt and mix well. Then add yogurt, 1 tbs oil and mix it well with your fingers. It should look like a bread crumbs.
  • This is the right consistency.
  • Then place these mixture in idli plate and steam it for 10 minutes
  • Take a pan, heat oil. saute it with mustard seeds, channa dal, red chillies.
  • Then add the finely chopped onions with little salt. cook till it becomes slightly brown in colour.
  • Add Turmeric powder and mix well
  • Now add the steamed ragi mixture and mix well. Cook for two minutes.
  • Ragi Upma is ready. Serve it with chutney, sambar or an gravy as per your wish
