Ingredients
  

  • For rice balls
  • 2 cup Rice powder
  • Salt to taste
  • Water as required
  • For frying
  • 1 cup Coconut
  • 1/2 tsp Mustard seed
  • 1 tsp Chilli powder
  • 5 Shallots
  • 3 Garlic
  • 1 hand Curry leaves
  • 2 tbsp Oil

Instructions
 

  • Take a bowl add rice flour,salt. add semi hot water little by little and knead into a soft dough.
  • Make medium size balls out of the dough and steam cook it for 20 minutes.
  • Cut each the cooked rice balls into 4 pieces.
  • Take a mixer grinder and add grated coconut,garlic and shallots.
  • Add red chilly powder and salt as required
  • Blend it to make a semi fine paste without adding water.
  • Heat oil in a pan and splutter mustard seed,then add chopped shallots and curry leaves.saute for few seconds.
  • Add steamed and sliced balls into it.combine well
  • Add coconut mix
  • Give a quick toss mix well and switch off the flame.
  • Serve hot/warm.
