Pindi Chana

Pindi Channa is a classic dish from the Punjabi cuisine, which is flavored with a large assortment of spice powders and other ingredients. Pindi channa is usually dark black in colour and dry. These are best served with either puri or bhature. This recipe is so aromatic and favorite to all.

Ingredients
  

  • channa 200 gms
  • ginger paste 1 sp
  • tomato 1
  • red chili powderr 2 sp
  • black salt a pinch
  • salt to taste
  • tamarind juice 2 sp
  • aumchur powder 1 sp
  • methi leaf 1/2 sp
  • spices
  • cumin 1/2 sp
  • cinnamon 1
  • mustard 1/4 sp
  • pepper 1 sp
  • cloves 2
  • coriander seeds 1/2 sp
  • fennel seeds 1/4 sp
  • ajwain a pnch
  • cardamom 1
  • garam masala 1/2 sp

Instructions
 

  • soak chana overnight and cook it with little salt.
  • fry the spices and grind it.
  • squeeze tomato and mix red chili powder, channa masala, tamarind pulp, aumchur powdr, methi leaf,and black salt.
  • in oil add spices and ginger paste.
  • now add the tomato mix to it and allow it to cook.
  • now add channa to this.
  • let the gravy to thicken and serve.
