Raw Banana Coconut Stir Fry

Raw banana coconut stir fry is a simple and healthy stir fried curry prepared with raw banana / vazhakkai / plantain which goes very well with hot rice and sambar or even with any variety rice.

Ingredients
  

  • Raw banana / vazhakai 2 no.
  • Onion 1 no.
  • green chili 1 no.
  • Ginger garlic paste 1 tsp
  • Black pepper powder 2 tsp
  • coriander powder 2 tsp
  • salt To taste
  • Coconut milk 1 Cup
  • oil 3 Tbsp
  • mustard 1/4 tsp
  • Cumin seed 1/4 tsp
  • curry leaves 1 sprinkle

Instructions
 

  • Chop the onion and peel the Vazhakai and cut into small cubes
  • Heat the oil in the kadai and temper the mustard, cumin seed and curry leaves
  • add onion and green chili and saute it
  • add ginger garlic paste and mix well
  • add raw banana and mix well
  • Add Black pepper powder,coriander powder and salt and mix well
  • add coconut milk and mix well and allow to cook until the raw banana get cooked and the water get dry
  • Now Raw banana coconut stir fry is ready to serve
