Saboon Ari Payasam

Saboon ari payasam also known as sago seed payasam is a easiest payasam recipe.It is a delicious dessert made with sgo seed,biriyani rice,coconut milk,milk powder,sugar,raisins and cashew nuts.

Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup Sago seed
  • 1/2 cup Biriyani rice
  • 1 cup Sugar
  • 4 tbsp Milk powder
  • 2 Coconut
  • 10 Cashew nuts
  • 10 Raisins
  • 2 tbsp Ghee
  • Salt pinch
  • Water as required

Instructions
 

  • Soak saboon ari for 4 hours.
  • Grind grated coconut for few seconds and take coconut milk out of it.
  • Cook the biriyani rice with enough water
  • Add saboon ari,coconut milk,salt into the cooked rice and cook until the saboon ari is soft.add some water if required to get the correct consistency of payasam.
  • Add sugar, cardamom powder and cook for another 5 minutes.
  • Melt milk power in warm water and mix it with the payasam.
  • Heat ghee in a pan, roast cashew nuts and raisins in it and mix it with the payasam.
  • Sboon ari payasam is ready to serve.
