Cabbage Moong Dal Poriyal/ Muttaikose Pasi Pasruppu Poriyal

Cabbage moong dal poriyal is a South Indian dish which is made by adding grated coconut with cabbage and moong dal. the spicy of this poriyal will goes well with sambar rice and curd rice. this recipe is more simple and easy to prepare.

Ingredients
  

  • Cabbage 250g
  • moong dal 15 g
  • small onion 10 no.
  • red chili 1 no.
  • sambar masala powder 3 tsp
  • turmeric powder 1 tsp
  • salt to taste
  • grated coconut 2 tbsp
  • oil 2 tbsp
  • mustard 1/4 tsp
  • bengal gram 1/4 tsp
  • broken urad dal 1/5 tsp

Instructions
 

  • In a pan heat the oil and temper the mustard, broken urad dal, bengal gram
  • Add red chili and sliced onion and saute it
  • add finely chopped cabbage and soaked moong dal and mix well
  • add salt, turmeric powder and sambar masala powder and mix well
  • add one glass of water and allow to cook until it get dry
  • add grated coconut and mix it
  • now cabbage moong dal poriyal is ready
