Egg Poori

Egg Poori is another variety of poori among the different types of poori. This is a healthy, tasty poori. Commonly, Poori is a very famous breakfast in South Indian Cuisine. The deeply fried pooris are dipped in egg, cardamom powder mixture and again deeply fried in oil.

Ingredients
  

  • Wheat flour 1 cup
  • Egg 2
  • Cardamom powder 1 tsp
  • Sugar 3 tbsp
  • Water as needed
  • Salt to taste
  • Oil 1 cup

Instructions
 

  • Take wheat flour in a bowl.
  • Make a dough by adding salt and water little by little .
  • Make small small balls from the dough and then make it flatten shape using chappathi maker or press.
  • Repeat same with the remaining dough .
  • Then heat a pan with oil and put poori to it , let it cooked and puffed well.
  • Repeat same with the remaining poori's and keep it on a plate .
  • Take a bowl and put egg , sugar and cardamom powder to it beat it well.
  • Then put one poori to the egg mix and dip it well .
  • Then again heat pan with oil and fry the dipped poori and when we see the egg layer above poori is cooked take it out .
  • Do same with the remaining poori's and serve it hot or cool .

Notes

We can use left over poori from breakfast and make this as a snack .
