Pavakka Thenga Arachu Vecha Curry

Pavakka thenga arachu vecha curry is a tasty curry which is made with pavakka,raw mango and ground coconut tastes best with rice with a stir fried vegetable and fried fish on the side.

Ingredients
  

  • 1 Bitter gourd/pavakka
  • 1 cup,grated Coconut
  • 2 Tomato
  • 3 Green chilly
  • 5 Shallots
  • 1 small Raw mango
  • 1/2 tsp Red chilly powder
  • 3/4 tsp Turmeric powder
  • 1/2 tsp Mustard
  • 2 tbsp Oil
  • Salt
  • Curry leaves

Instructions
 

  • Cut all the veggies and keep it ready.
  • Heat oil in a pressure cooker and splutter mustard seed in it.
  • Add shallots and saute until it turns to golden brown in colour.
  • Add tomato,green chilly,bitter gourd,rae mango,chilly powder,turmeric powder and salt
  • Pour one cup water and cook it for 3-4 whistles.
  • When it is cooked,grind coconut with little water and mix it with the curry.add more water if required to get the correct consistency level of curry.
  • Remove from the flame when it starts to boil
  • Pavakka thenga arachu vecha curry is ready to serve.
