Baby Taro In Spicy Yogurt Curry(Chembu Moru Curry)

Chembu moru curry is a traditional recipe,the main ingtedient of this recipe is Chembu/Taro.A meal with Chembu Moru Curry is a great combination.The combination is irresistable for me.Curru tastes even better once it cools and sits for a while.

Ingredients
  

  • 250 g Taro
  • 1 cup Curd
  • 1/2 tsp Red chilly powder
  • 3/4 tsp Turmeric powder
  • 1/2 tsp Mustard
  • Curry leaves little
  • 1 cup,grated Coconut
  • 2 tbsp Oil
  • Salt to taste
  • Water as required

Instructions
 

  • Pell the taro/chemb and wash it nicely.
  • Add turmeric powder,chilly powder,salt and 2 cup water
  • Cook it in a pressure cooker for 1 whistle
  • Heat oil in a clay pot and splutter mustard seed in it
  • Add cooked taro with enough water and let it boil.
  • Grind the coconut with little water to make a thick paste.
  • Add this thick coconut paste and curd into this cooking taro and cook for few second.when it starts boil,turn off the flame.
  • Serve with rice as a side dish.
