Badam Halwa

Badam Halwa is a rich and delicious Indian sweet made with pureed almonds, ghee, sugar and saffron.As I love all sweets badam halwa is no exception , I love the saffron flavour the best in badam halwa.

Ingredients
  

  • almond 100 g
  • milk 1/2 glass
  • Besan flour 1/4 cup
  • sugar 1/2 cup
  • ghee 3 tbsp
  • oil 1 tbsp
  • cardamom powder 1 tsp
  • colour powder or saffron 1 pinch
  • cashews 1 tbsp

Instructions
 

  • Soak the almond in hot water for 15 mins
  • remove the skin
  • grind it to the smooth paste by adding milk
  • In a kadai add almond paste and sugar and stir it
  • add ghee, oil and cardamom powder and stir it
  • add colour powder and mix it
  • add besan flour and stir it continuously for 15 mins in low flame
  • stir until it becomes halwa consistency and non sticky
  • in a pan heat the ghee and fry the cashews and transfer into the halwa
  • now badam halwa is ready to serve
