Village Style Mutton Curry | Naadan Aattirachi Curry

Village Style Mutton Curry is an easy mutton curry prepared in malabar side of kerala. No special ingredients is needed for this recipe. It goes well with ghee rice, porotta, chappati etc..

Ingredients
  

  • 1 kg Mutton
  • 2 nos. large Onion
  • 3 nos. Tomato
  • 1 Cup Chopped Shallots
  • Ginger Small piece, chopped
  • 1 Pod, Whole Garlic Chopped
  • 2 nos. Potato
  • 2 1/2 tsp Coriander powder
  • 1 tsp Turmeric powder
  • 1/2 tsp Fenugreek seeds
  • 1 tsp Cumin seeds
  • 2 tbsp Pepper corns
  • 2 nos. Cardamom
  • Cinnamon stick A small piece
  • Coriander leaves Few
  • Curry leaves Few
  • Salt As reqd
  • 2 tbsp Oil
  • 1 cup Water

Instructions
 

  • Clean and wash the mutton.
  • Cut the veggies and keep aside
  • Grind pepper corns, cumin seeds, cinnamon stick, cardamom and clove in a mixer grinder to form a fine powder.
  • Heat oil in a vessel or cooker, splutter fenugreek seeds in it and add ginger garlic paste and saute for 1 minute.
  • Add shallots and onion, saute until it is light brown in colour.
  • Add coriander powder and saute for 3-4 minutes.
  • Add tomato, potato and garam masala.
  • Add mutton, turmeric powder, salt, coriander leaves, curry leaves, water as required and cook for 15 minutes in pressure cooker until done.
  • Village Style Mutton Curry is ready to serve.
