Nattu Kozhi Curry

This is a very easy chicken gravy that you can make within 30 minutes and it goes well with both rice and rotis. This is a typical South Inidan style chicken curry which is very spicy and tasty too.

Ingredients
  

  • Nattu kozhi 1/2 Kg
  • onion 1 no.
  • ginger garlic paste 3 tbsp
  • turmeric powder 2 tsp
  • salt to taste
  • oil 4 tbsp
  • mustard 1 tsp
  • fennel seed 1tsp
  • curry leaves 1 sprinkle
  • chicken masala 1 tbsp
  • coconut paste 1/2 cup
  • coriander leaves to garnish
  • To paste
  • small onion 1 cup
  • tomato 1 no.
  • cumin seed 1 tsp
  • curry masala 2 tbsp

Instructions
 

  • heat the oil in the pan and saute the small onion
  • add tomato and cumin seed and mix it
  • add curry masala and mix it
  • grind it and make a fine paste
  • heat the oil in the kadai and temper the mustard, fennel seed, curry leaves and saute the slice onion for 2 mins
  • add ginger garlic paste and mix well
  • add salt and turmeric powder and mix well
  • add the masala and mix it
  • add chicken masala, black pepper and mix
  • add chicken, mix well and allow to cook for 3 mins in medium flame until the water get dissolved from chicken
  • add coconut paste and mix it
  • add required water and allow to cook until the chicken get cooked and the gravy becomes thick consistency
  • now the nattu kozhi curry is ready to serve, garnish with coriander leaves
