Samba Puttu

Samba is a special brown rice , which is rich in iron and other nutritive properties. This puttu is made quickly for evening time snack. The rice is been soaked for 2 hrs and ground wet. This rice is sievedd and steamed for 20 mins. When the flour is cooked it is been tasted with palm sugar and coconut milk . cardamom powder is added for flavor.

Ingredients
  

  • samba rice 1 cup(soaked for 2 hrs)
  • palm sugar 3/4 cup
  • coconut gratedd 4 tbsp
  • cardamom powder 1 sp

Instructions
 

  • soak samba rice for 2 hrs dry it and powder it.
  • sieve the powder finely
  • tie it in cloth and steam it.
  • to the steamed flour add palm sugar, coconut and cardamom powder and mix well.
  • serve it with coconut milk
