Coriander Sambhar

Coriander sambhar is a very traditional dish in south India. It is prepared to boost up the immune system. This sambhar is made by grinding tomato , coriander , urad dal , coconut. This paste is added to the cooked toor dal with sambhar powder , and tamarind juice. This is how our tasty coriander sambhar is prepared.

Ingredients
  

  • urad dal 2 tbsp
  • fenu greek 1/2 sp
  • tomato 1
  • coconut 4 tbsp
  • toor dal cooked 1 cup
  • tamarind juice 1/2 cup
  • jaggery 1/2 sp
  • salt to taste

Instructions
 

  • roast urad dal and fenu greek
  • to this add tomato and coriander and coconut to make a paste
  • add jaggery to tamarind paste and boil
  • add cooked toor dal to it
  • now add the ground paste to it.
  • Finally saute onions, red chillis and curry leafs add to sambhar and serve.
