Beetroot Patties

Beetroot cutlet or beetroot tikki, beetroot patties is easy, delicious, healthy and colorful snack for tea time or for kids lunch/snack box. We can also serve this as starter or finger food during party or get-together.

Ingredients
  

  • Beetroot 1/2 kg
  • aloo 1/4 kg
  • roasted ground nut 5 tsp
  • chopped onion 1 no.
  • chopped green chili 2 no.
  • ginger garlic paste 1 tsp
  • red chili powder 1/2 tsp
  • garam masala 1/2 tsp
  • coriander leaves 5 tsp
  • cumin seed powder 2 pinch
  • salt to taste
  • bread crumbs 1 cup
  • maida 2 tbsp
  • corn flour 3 tbsp
  • oil to fry

Instructions
 

  • boil the aloo by adding salt and smash it
  • peel the beetroot and grate it
  • filter the water from beetroot
  • in a bowl add aloo, beetroot, chopped onion, chopped green chili, roasted groundnut, coriander leaves,cumin seed powder, ginger garlic paste, red chili powder, garam masala and salt
  • mix well
  • prepare bread crumbs
  • in a bowl add maida, corn flour and water and make as a batter
  • take a small ball from beetroot mix and make as a round shape and dip in batter
  • spread the bread crumbs
  • heat the oil and fry it until it get crispy
  • now beetroot patties is ready to serve
