Kabuli Channa Curry
The chick peas or kabuli chana is boiled and then simmered in a spicy rich curry of onion, tomatoes and ginger garlic paste. Serve hot with steamed rice. This is the most favourite side in the state of Punjab

1 cup Kabhul channa soaked 2 Onion 3 Tomato grind 1 tsp Red chili powder 1 tsp Corianders powder ½ tsp Garam masala ½ tsp Ginger garlic paste 1 Bay leaf 1 each Cardamom, cloves, cinnamon 1 tsp Jeera and funnel seed 2 tbsp Ghee/ butter Salt as per taste
In pressure pan add soaked channa and bay leaf, cardamom, cloves, cinnamon
In mixer jar add onion, jeera and funnel and grind paste
In pan add ghee/ butter and temper jeera and add grind paste
Now add ginger garlic paste
Now add tomato paste and sauté well
Now add all powders and sauté well
Now add boiled channa along with boiled water. cook till the oil comes out
Kabhul channa curry is ready to serve with rice, roti.
