Chop the onion, tomato, green chili, ginger and garlic
in a pressure cooker add masoor dal, salt and turmeric and allow for 3 whistle to get boiled
in a pan heat the oil and ghee
temper the mustard, broken urad dal, cumin seed
add ginger and garlic it and saute it
add onion and green chili and saute it for 3 mins
add tomato and mix well and allow to cook for 3 mins
transfer to the boiled dal
add salt and red chili powder and allow to cook for 5 mins in medium flame
garnish with coriander leaves, now masala masoor dal is ready to serve
