Nadan Chicken Roast

Nadan Chicken Roast is one of the authentic and delicious dish in Kerala. My kids like Nadan Chicken Roast rather than chicken curry.

Ingredients
  

  • 500 gm Chicken cut into small pieces
  • 1/ 2 tsp Ginger / garlic paste
  • 2 nos Green chilli
  • 3 nos Onion
  • 1 / Turmeric powder
  • 2 tsp Kashmiri chilli powder
  • 2 tsp Coriander powder
  • 1 tsp Pepper powder
  • 1 / Fennel seeds
  • 1 / Garam masala powder
  • 3 tbsp Vinegar
  • Curry leaves.
  • Salt to taste.
  • 4 tbsp Coconut oil

Instructions
 

  • For making the Nadan Chicken Roast, firstly grind together turmeric, chilli, coriander, pepper, garam masala powders, fennel seeds, ginger, garlic paste with the vinegar to a thin paste.
  • Marinate the cleaned chicken pieces with the ground masala and salt and keep it for 10 minutes.
  • Heat oil in a pan, add chopped onion and saute well till it turn golden brown colour. Add green chillies, curry leaves.
  • Add the marinated chicken pieces and mix well . Cover and cook it till the pieces are coated well with the masala. Check and stir occasionally.
  • Nadan Chicken Roast is ready to serve. It goes well with chapathi, pooris or appam.

Notes

Fennel seeds - 1 / 2 tsp.
Garam masala powder - 1 / 2 tsp.
Vinegar - 3 tbsp.
Curry leaves.
Salt to taste.
Coconut oil - 4 tbsp.
