Meen (Fish) Kulambu

this is a home style fish curry truly authentic and simple. have this with hot rice and nobody can resist finger licking

Ingredients
  

  • fish 1 kg
  • coconut grated 1 cup
  • tamarind paste 1/2 cup
  • shollots 1 cup
  • 8 garlic 7
  • red chilli 4
  • dhania powder 4 sp
  • salt
  • chilli powder 2 sp
  • dhania 2 sp
  • turmeric 1/2 sp
  • fenu greek 1/2 sp
  • cumin seeds 1/2 sp
  • mustard 1/2 sp
  • curry leafs few

Instructions
 

  • saute shallots, red chilli and cumin seeds
  • add dhania powder and grind it to gether
  • in a kadai saute fenu greek, cumin seeds, mustard,shallots, curry leafs
  • add tomatoes and ground paste
  • to this add red chilli, turmeric, and salt
  • add tamarind juice and boil it throughly
  • when oil separates grind coconut with a pinch of cumin seeds grind them and add to gravy
  • when the gravy thickens add fish pieces to it simmer for 5 mins and turn off.
