Tomato Biriyani
Tomato biriyani is a spicy and flavourful variety rice that tastes great with simple raitha and pappads.

- biriyani rice 2 cups
- water 4 cups
- bay leaf 1
- star anise 1
- cinnamon 2
- cloves 6
- cardamom 5
- fennel seeds 1/2 sp
- green chilli 6
- mint leaves few
- onions chopped 1 cup
- 8 tomatoes 7
- ginger garlic paste 3 sp
- coriander leaves few
- salt
heat pan and add the spices
add mint leaves and green chillies
add onions
add ginger garlic paste
add tomatoes and leave it untill they turn soft
add salt
boil water seperately and add to it and also add coriander leaves and taste water and adjust salt and spice
soak rice for 15 mins and drain the waterr completely and now add it to the boiling water.
when rice and water comes to a equal height simmer flame and close lid and leave for 10 mins.turn off aloow the gas to settle.
open and stir it gently and serve with raithas
