Sundakka (Turkey Berry) Poriyal

Pachai Sundakkai is a small vegetable with lots of health benefits. One of the most important benefits is that it has Anti-Anemic property. this poriyal is very easy to prepare

Ingredients
  

  • sundakka 1 cup
  • bengal gram 1/2 cup
  • small onion 1/2 cup
  • garlic 4 no.
  • red chili powder 1/2 tsp
  • salt to taste
  • turmeric powder 1/2 tsp
  • grated coconut 1/2 cup
  • tamarind water 1/2 cup

Instructions
 

  • clean and wash the sundakka for 5 times
  • in a pan boil the water and bengal gram
  • once the bengal gram get cooked 3/4th add sundakka, salt, red chili powder and turmeric powder and mix well
  • chop the onion and garlic
  • add tamarind water and 2 glass of water and allow to cook until the bengal gram and sundakka get cooked well
  • now add onion and garlic and mix well and allow to cook for 5 minutes
  • add sugar and mix well
  • add grated coconut,mix well and turn off the flame
  • now sundakka poriyal is ready
