Aval 1 Cup
onion 1 no.
green chili 5 no.
oil 3 tsp
mustard 1/2 tsp
Bengal gram 1 tsp
broken urad dal 1 tsp
curry leaves 1 bunch
coriander leaves to garnish
salt to taste
turmeric powder 1 tsp
Instructions
Soak the aval in water for 10 minutes
chop the onion, green chili and curry leaves
in a heat the oil and temper the mustard, bengal gram and broken urad dal
add onion, green chili and curry leaves and saute it until the onion turn into brown
add salt and turmeric powder and mix well
add aval and mix well
allow to cook for 5 minutes in a medium flame
aval upma is ready to serve. garnish with the coriander leaves
