Ayala Curry Using Mango

Fish curry made with Ayala meen is a spicy dish that is famous in kerala prepared with raw mango. The raw mango's sour taste is very different from the regular tamarind taste. This ayala curry goes very well with hot rice. This ayala meen curry taste so well the next day, all the sourness from mango goes into the fish and curry and will taste so nice. Ingredients
  

  • fish half kg, ayala
  • 1 mango
  • 1 onion
  • 1 inch ginger
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • 2 sprig curry leaves
  • 1 tomato
  • salt as needed
  • 2 tsp coriander powder
  • 2 tsp chilly powder
  • 1 tsp turmeric powder
  • oil as needed
  • 2 cup water

Instructions
 

  • heat a kadai and add oil to it
  • add onion ginger ,garlic and tomato to it stir well
  • add curry leaves and mango to it
  • add salt
  • add coriander powder
  • sauté it well
  • add chilly powder and turmeric powder
  • sauté it well.
  • add 2 cups of water
  • when it boils
  • add the fish one by one
  • close the pan and let it get cooked.
  • when the oil gets separated and the fish is nicely cooked, turn off the flame .
  • serve hot with white rice.
