Temple Medhu Vadai

Vada are an indispensable part of the menu in Hindu festivals with garlands of Vada offered to Hanuman on auspicious days in South Indian Temples.

Ingredients
  

  • Urad dal 1/2kg
  • salt to taste
  • red chili powder 1 tsp
  • maida 2 tsp
  • corn flour 2 tsp
  • rice flour 2 tsp
  • cumin seed 1 tsp
  • black pepper seed 1 tsp
  • coriander leaves 3 tsp
  • oil to fry

Instructions
 

  • Soak the urad dal for 1 hour and grind it without adding water, if needed just spray the water, make as a batter
  • in bowl add urad dal batter, salt, red chili powder, maida, corn flour, rice flour, coriander leaves and mix it
  • now add cumin seed and black pepper seed and mix well
  • heat the oil in the pan and fry the urad dal batter in vadai shape
  • temple style medhuvadai is ready to serve
