Naattu Kozhi Briyani

this briyani is simple and easy to make at home. the taste is good and yummy. all my family members will love this recipe

Ingredients
  

  • chicken 1 kg
  • biriyani rice 4 cup
  • onion 3 no.
  • tomato 3 no.
  • green chili 8 no.
  • mint leaves 1/4 cup
  • coriander leaves 1/4 cup
  • ginger garlic paste 6 tsp
  • salt to taste
  • turmeric powder 1 tsp
  • red chili powder 2 tsp
  • black pepper 1 tsp
  • lemon 1
  • oil 6 tsp
  • ghee 4 tsp
  • bay leaves 4 no.
  • aniseed 2 no.
  • clove 5no.
  • cinnamon 2 no.
  • cardamom 1 no.

Instructions
 

  • clean and wash the chicken
  • in a pressure cooker heat the oil and ghee and temper the bay leaf, aniseed, clove, carmom and cinnamon
  • add chopped onion and green chili and saute it until the onion turn into brown
  • add tomato, mint leaves and coriander leaves and mix wellc
  • add ginger garlic paste and mix well until the raw smell goes out
  • add chicken, salt, red chili powder, turmeric powder, black pepper and squeeze the lemon and mix well and allow to cook in a medium flame
  • add required water to boil the chicken and allow to cook the chicken
  • once chicken get 3/4 boiled add 8 cup of water for 4 cup of rice and allow to boil
  • mean while soak the briyani rice in water for 10 minutes
  • once the water get boiled add soaked briyani rice and mix well, and allow to cook in medium flame for 5 mins
  • now close the lid and allow to cook for 10 mins in low flame and turn off the flame
  • once the pressure goes out from cooker remove the lid and mix well
  • naattu kozhi briyani is ready to serve. serve with any raitha
