Avarakkai / Broad Beans Rice

this is my own recipe and this recipe is good for lunch box which contains protein and vitamin

Ingredients
  

  • broad beans / avarakkai 100g
  • steamed rice 1 cup
  • small onion 20 no.
  • tomato small 1 no.
  • red chili 1 no.
  • ginger garlic paste 1 tsp
  • salt to taste
  • sambar masala 1 tsp
  • turmeric powder 1 tsp
  • oil 3 tsp
  • broken urad dal 1/2 tsp
  • bengal gram 1/2 tsp
  • mustard 1/2 tsp
  • curry leaves 1 bunch

Instructions
 

  • prepare steam rice, chop the onion, tomato, red chili and broad beans / avarakkai
  • heat the oil in the pan and temper the mustard, broken urad dal and bengal gram
  • add curry leaves, onion and red chili and saute it until the onion turn into brown
  • add tomato and mix well
  • add ginger garlic paste and mix well
  • add broad beans / avarakkai and mix well
  • add salt, turmeric powder and sambar masala and mix well
  • now add 1 glass of water to cook the broad beans
  • allow to cook in medium flame
  • cook until the water get dry
  • now add steamed rice and mix well, allow in medium flame for 5 mins
  • broad beans / avarakkai rice id ready
