Avarakkai / Broad Beans Poriyal
This stir fry goes well as a side dish for rice and any mixed rice

- chopped avarakkai / broad beans 200g
- small onion / big onion 1 no.
- red chili 1 no.
- oil 3 tsp
- mustard 1/2 tsp
- broken urad dal 1/4 tsp
- bengal gram 1/4 tsp
- curry leaves 5 no.
- salt to taste
- sambar powder 1/2 tsp
- turmeric powder 1/2 tsp
- grated coconut 3 tsp
in a pan heat the oil and temper the mustard and broken urad dal and bengal gram
add curry leaves, red chili and onion and saute it, until the onion turn into brown
add tomato and mix well
add chopped avarakkai / broad bean and mix well
add salt, sambar powder and turmeric powder and mix well
add two glass of water and allow to cook
cook till the water get dry
garnish with grated coconut. avarakkai poriyal is ready
