Ingredients
- chopped avarakkai / broad beans 200g -
- small onion / big onion 1 no. -
- red chili 1 no. -
- Oil : 3 tsp -
- Mustard : 1/2 tsp -
- broken urad dal 1/4 tsp -
- bengal gram 1/4 tsp -
- Curry leaves 5 no. -
- Salt to taste -
- sambar powder 1/2 tsp -
- Turmeric powder 1/2 tsp -
- Grated coconut : 3 tsp -

Instructions
- in a pan heat the oil and temper the mustard and broken urad dal and bengal gram
- add curry leaves, red chili and onion and saute it, until the onion turn into brown
- add tomato and mix well
- add chopped avarakkai / broad bean and mix well
- add salt, sambar powder and turmeric powder and mix well
- add two glass of water and allow to cook
- cook till the water get dry
- garnish with grated coconut. avarakkai poriyal is ready
