Kongu Style Takkali Kuzhambu

this is a famous recipe in coimbatore. this gravy is combo to idly dosa, rice.. idiyappam. flavour is also good.

Ingredients
  

  • 4 Tomato
  • 1/2 Coconut grated
  • 1/4 cup Fried gram
  • 1 tblsp Coriander seed
  • 3 Dry chili
  • 2 Onion
  • 1/2 tsp funnel seed
  • 1/2 tsp Jeera
  • 1/4 tsp Pepper
  • 2 Cloves and cinnamon
  • 1 string Curry leaves
  • 1/4 tsp Turmeric
  • Salt as taste
  • 2 tblsp Oil
  • 1 tsp Mustard

Instructions
 

  • In pan add oil and roast coriander seed, dry chili, jeera, funnel seed, pepper and friend gram
  • Now add grated coconut stir well
  • Now add Roughly chopped onion and tomato saute well
  • Now turn off and allow to cool
  • Now add mixture in jar and grind smooth paste
  • In pan add oil and temper mustard seed and curry leaves
  • Add grind mixture and cook to boil and add salt and water 1 cup and boil for 10 mins.
  • Now its ready to serve Kongu Style Takkali Kuzhambu
