Vazhakkai Varuval / Raw Banana Fry
Like Potato, Raw banana is another yummy vegetable which tastes divine if we stir-fry them. It is one of the traditional poriyal or curry variety in most of the South Indian kitchen.

Vazhakka 1 no. Coconut 4 to 5 pieces Red chilli 4 to 5no. Garlic 3 to 4 no. Small onion 3 to 4 no. Salt to taste Turmeric powder ½ tsp Fennel seed ½ tsp Oil as required
peel the raw banana skin and cut as round shape and wash it
in a pan boil the raw banana for 5 min or 1/2 boiled
remove from the pan and dry the water
in a mixi jar add onion, red chilli, salt, turmeric powder, fennel seed and coconut and make as apaste
in a pan heat the oil and add half boiled raw banana and coconut paste and mix well
allow to boil for 15 mins until the raw banana and the masala get boiled in medium flame. add oil if required it
once the raw banana turn in golden yellow turn off the flame
