Soak toor dal for 2 hour or over night
in a blender add dry chilies, fennel seeds and little salt and grind together
Now add Dal without water, grind coarsely and keep aside
Now make small balls and steam all for 10 mins
In a pan add oil and temper Mustard and cumin and fenugreek
Now add Chopped onions and curry leaves
Add sambhar powder and salt and turmeric mix well
Add water to tamarind and make thick tamarind water and add it.
Add coconut paste, mix well and boil for 5 mins
Now add steam balls and cook for 5 mins
