Jeeraga Kanji
Jeeraga Kanji is a famous porridge prepared specially during the time of Ramzan nombu. This special porridge is prepared mainly with rice, aashali. This very simple, tasty and healthy.

basmati rice 2 cup aashaali 1 tablespoon cumin seeds 2 to 3 tsp water as needed turmeric powder 1 tsp coconut 1 cup shallot
cook rice using water
add little cumin seeds
soak aashali and uluva in water
drain off water from aashaali
when it boils add uluva and aashali.
stir well
add turmeric powder and salt.
stir well and allow it to get cooked
grind shallot and cumin seeds
when rice gets cooked ,pour this mix to the rice and stir well
then allow it to get boiled and then off the flame. our kanji is ready
