Traditional Kerala Style Mambhazha Koottan

One of the favourites during summer when plenty of ripe mangoes a delicasy for lunch.

Ingredients
  

  • 4 Ripe mangoes
  • Water : 3 cups
  • 1 tsp Turmeric powder
  • 1 tsp Chilli powder
  • 1 cup Grated Coconut
  • Salt to taste
  • 1 cup Curd
  • 1 tsp Cumin seeds
  • 1 tsp Mustard
  • 1/2 tsp Fenu greek
  • 2 Red chilly
  • 5 Curry leaf

Instructions
 

  • First wash and peel the mangoes.Cut into large pieces .
  • Heat water in a vessel and add cut mangoes,turmeric powder and salt.Let it cook for 5 minutes in a stove.
  • In the mean time blend grated coconut,cuminseeds,mustard, curry leaf and curd in a mixer.
  • Add this to the cooked mangoes.
  • Then mix all together and boil for 2 minutes,now mambhazha koottan is ready to serve with steamed white rice.
