Home Made Chicken Mandi

Ingredients
  

  • FOR RICE.
  • 1 cup Basmati rice
  • 3 each Cardamom, Cloves, Cinnamon
  • FOR MARINATION.
  • 500 gm Chicken I used medium sized pieces
  • 1 Onion finely chopped
  • 1 no Tomato finely chopped
  • 2 tsp Ginger / garlic paste
  • 6-8 nos Green chilly
  • 1 / Turmeric powder
  • 2 tsp Coriander powder
  • 10-15 Whole black pepper corns
  • 1 tbsp Lime juice
  • Coriander leaves.
  • Salt to taste

Instructions
 

  • Marinate the cleaned chicken with all the ingredients along with salt and keep it aside for 30 minutes.
  • Half boil the rice with required water, salt, cardamom, cloves and cinnamon for flavouring the rice. Strain the rice and keep it aside.
  • Place the cooked rice in a steamer and the chicken on the top of the rice .Cook it for 25 minutes.
  • Enjoy this Mandi chicken in its authentic way.

Notes

This is a very mild dish, not spicy at all.
