  • Marinate the cleaned chicken with all the ingredients along with salt and keep it aside for 30 minutes.
  • Half boil the rice with required water, salt, cardamom, cloves and cinnamon for flavouring the rice. Strain the rice and keep it aside.
  • Place the cooked rice in a steamer and the chicken on the top of the rice .Cook it for 25 minutes.
  • Enjoy this Mandi chicken in its authentic way.


This is a very mild dish, not spicy at all.
